Our commitment

Rentals Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice’s 2024 web accessibility rule — across our public website, including rental listings, search, forms, and the rental assistant chat (Remi, an automated AI assistant — not a live human agent).

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML with skip links, landmarks, and a logical heading outline on every page.
• Full keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, and focus management in dialogs, drawers, and carousels.
• Alternative text for meaningful images, captions and transcripts for video, and reduced-motion alternatives for animation.
• Text and interactive components that meet WCAG contrast minimums, with form fields that identify errors to assistive technology.
• Live-region announcements for dynamic updates such as search results and chat messages.

Known limitations

• Interactive maps are provided by third-party services (Google Maps and OpenStreetMap/Leaflet) and may not fully conform. Every listing shown on a map is also available in the side-by-side list view, which is the fully accessible alternative.

Remi chat safety

Remi is an automated rental assistant, not a crisis counselor. If you are in emotional distress or thinking about self-harm, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US) or visit 988lifeline.org. Remi is instructed to refer visitors in crisis to those resources rather than continue with rental help as the primary focus.

Assessment approach

This site is evaluated through a combination of automated testing, manual keyboard-only navigation passes, and review against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. We re-assess after significant design or content changes.
